Our groups are based around your needs and interests. We offer activity based groups such as art, gardening, crafts, reading, creative writing, furniture restoration, allotments - to name a few!! We also offer leisure groups such as days out, lunch clubs, bowling, pub, café - anything to get together!! Health groups such as walking, yoga, tai chi, meditation, mindfulness, gym, running, etc are also on offer.
In addition we will have speakers from our professional partners as well as expertise from our fellow group members. We may also be able to assist you with transport to enable you to access the groups and workshops.
We are here to provide you with the support you need to help you help yourself. We focus on the whole you. Not just your illness, condition or diagnosis. Using our whole person approach we will help you to explore each aspect of your life from your job or finances, relationships, mind, body, spirit, community and interests to enable you to identify which areas you can harness to live the life you want to. All of our groups include time to work together to focus on ourselves and to explore ways in which we can meet our own needs.
We can provide you with professional expertise as well as the lived experience from other group members to help you understand, adjust to and steer your life. We offer formal and informal education and information in a fun and productive way. We can also help you to identify when self support needs a little bit more, and help you move to supported self management.
